Vegetarians save hundreds of animals every year by simply choosing a plant based diet.   Most people at some point in their life want to make an informed decision about how and what they want to attract in their life.

Why Vegetarian 

For many this decision will include what they eat.  Many  look at the facts and become vegetarian for health reasons.  Others are excited about the positive impact they can have on the environment.  And still others become vegetarian because they're seeking the spiritual growth many of the worlds religions teach come from a compassionate, plant based diet. 

The above video is provided for those that want to know what impact they can have by adopting a plant based diet and to answer the question so many ask, "Why Vegetarian?".

  Millions of people across the United States saw the reality of farmed animals’ lives broadcast into their living rooms in a 30-second commercial featuring some of the most compelling footage from the above video "Meet Your Meat,”.  It's a powerful account of the farmed-animal industry.

Alec Baldwin narrates the video and commercial, commenting, “Once you see for yourself the routine cruelty involved in raising animals for food, you’ll understand why millions of compassionate people have decided to leave meat off their plates for good .… Every time we sit down to eat, we make a choice: Please choose vegetarianism.”

VegWeb - A great site with really friendly people.  The Vegan Recipes are all rated by other members and you'll find many of the members in the personals section or in the live chat.

Vegan Chef - This is a wonderful site with the main personality being Beverly Lynn Bennett.  She has some great Vegan recipes and has written a couple vegan recipe books. Her links section has some great causes as well.

 All Recipes -  This was my least favorite of the three.  If you're serious about recipes you may like it best.  It gives you the ability to modify and change recipes.  You can also save all your favorite vegan recipes.  I found it to be less personal than the first two so call me old fashioned.
